  1. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

Very true! I drove an M2 and it was an incredible machine. I just couldn’t see myself driving it daily….but tracking it?!??? Oh yes!!
  2. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

I cant fault you there. Specifically with the pricing differences in AUS. Here in the states, a fully optioned Z start encroaching on C8 territory. I can agree that the z feels like a gift in a way from Nissan. Really any 2 seat sports car running on petrol these days is a gift. I looked...
  3. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

That was also one of my favorite things about owning one. I loved the conversations it started. From middle aged guys approaching me to tell me about their early Z Cars, to curious teens and 20 something’s. That was one of the most enjoyable aspects of owning the Z. LOVE that blue Restomod...
  4. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

Thank you! And congrats back on the Nismo!
  5. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

A little of both. The local BMW dealer is a friend of mine and had a buyer lined up for the Z quickly. They facilitated the sell for a small ā€œkickbackā€. I was happy to do that for simplicity. The best thing I did when searching was pay attention to the ride over to the dealership and...
  6. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

Hopefully the Z hangs around for a few years and I can give it another go in a manual. I havent heard from many people with the manual that don’t really enjoy the car. ā€œThe performance better ugly choiceā€ šŸ˜† No doubt the Z is the better looking car :)
  7. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

exactly right! That’s the reason there are so many options! I admit a restomod Z is on my short list after our detached is completed. I absolutely love those!! Also seems as though everyone pretty much loves the Nismo…I haven’t driven one personally but have heard nothing but praise. I’ve...
  8. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

Correct. Not exactly ideal. I would think they would make it easy to turn on or off….
  9. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

That’s good news on the 2024. Haven’t heard of the issue on the Nismo either. Perhaps it is just early models. There is a way to turn that off / but it is not straightforward or available through the settings or even unlocking the service menu.
  10. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

we No doubt the Z is a more comfortable car to sit in and look out of than the claustrophobic Supra..the back window, high door trim, and curved/slopped side roof line make it feel so tight compared to the Z. Dukes of Hazard or not! 😁 Unfortunately I did not have much luck with Nissan on my...
  11. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

Auto. That’s where the issues with the transmission came into play. I would have loved a manual, but it just wasn’t a practical choice for my daily
  12. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

Thank you! Glad to hear you havenā€˜t had the same experience. Perhaps I would have felt differently if I opted for the manual…(love your color combo btw)
  13. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

I am a manual fan as well - but there is a part of my daily commute that is heavy stop and go through THREE school zones EVERY morning..so a manual is just not practical for me
  14. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

I can understand that. I don’t think there is much middle ground on the looks for the 240. Lot of people hate it / lot of people love it. I wasn’t crazy about it in pics, but did feel like it looked better in person. Sucks that you can only get the X package / it’s a rocket as well and...
  15. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

I hear you on the manual. The new M2 comes in a manual (I actually drove the manual version) and I must say it was a blast to drive. There were two things that held me back. I actually preferred the overall styling of the 240 in person, and the M2, even in its most comfortable settings - I...
  16. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

Thanks man! Your Nismo is awesome! I think it is what NisSan should have released from the get go as the ā€œZā€. Beautiful car!
  17. So Long Z - it was Fun(ish)

I made the decision it was time to move on from the Z after nearly a year and under 5K miles. I loved the style, the nostalgia, the raw power. I loved forums like this one where fellow enthusiasts could share their passion. I felt like a teenager the day I got my Z. That initial feeling...
  18. New Member New Z!
