I can attest to hard break ins also. Every 4G63 i've built has had a hard break in, no issues whatsoever. It properly seats everything. Especially when it comes to the A90 Supra, you need a hard break in to prevent the fabled oil consumption issues. I did a hard break in on mine, i'm at +30k...
