Man, I wish Nissan sent me that pre-sale email after I signed up for notifications last November . Probably won't see a car until end of 2023 at this rate with the dealer playing games.
My dealer in Surrey seems to have little idea what's going on and their salespeople seem to be all mixed up. I think they're too used to selling Versas and Micras that they don't know what to do. I asked about the Proto Spec (a longshot) and they didn't know what I was talking about. They also...
I think Hyundai/Kia tried to push the Stinger as their sportier car for after the death of the Genesis Coupe and it turned out to be a bit of a flop. I really wish Genesis did another coupe but the brand is very focused on the mid-range luxury market. A G70 coupe done well would be great though...
I have a 6-speed ZF in my Genesis Coupe and enjoy it a lot. Paddles are responsive and downshifts really quick. Decided to go manual this time around for the Z, but I really wish they would have put a DCT in the auto variant.
Yeah I was surprised that they even took my deposit and that they texted me about open orders. I figured I was too late to the party having missed out on the official pre-order earlier this year. My hope is that a bunch of people dropped off the list and took back their deposits for some reason...
Yeah that's my plan. Made sure it was refundable. So now just a waiting game.
My friend put a deposit down on a new GR Corolla, at this rate he'll probably have his car before we see any Z's on the streets.
I put my deposit down with Applewood Nissan Surrey. I tried King George Nissan first but they said they weren't taking any new orders. Hopefully this isn't just a way for them to take my $500 and hope I forget about it.
I called up a local dealer here in Vancouver, Canada and they took a $500 deposit from me for a new Z. They asked me what spec I wanted too. Although they wouldn't tell me how many people are on the list ahead of me.
What's frustrating is that I missed out on the pre-order phase in February...
