  1. Nismo Z vs Mustang Dark Horse vs GR Supra

Was really hoping to see a much better time out of the Nismo. Especially it being an auto vs the other two cars being stick shifts. if Toyota ever does a GRMN version or even just a simple track package, it’s going to be game over.
  2. Canadian Reviews: Throttle House & The Straight Pipes

That was the old Gen. 5 Camaro's, the Gen. 6 cars (2016+) all ride on the Alpha Chassis, which is unbelievably rigid for a street car.
  3. Canadian Reviews: Throttle House & The Straight Pipes

I've now pulled my Z deposit, between what Camisa says about the car, the Savageese comparo to the Supra and now seeing the Z pitted against the 1LE, the car seems to be a big disappointment dynamically.
  4. Savagegeese pits the 2023 Nissan Z vs Supra

Not really surprised by the results. At least now nobody can point to the Z's tires and say that's the reason the car is slower than the Supra.
  5. Savagegeese Nissan Z Full Technical and Driving Review

I certainly hope so, not being able to bounce it off the limiter in between corners would be a major drawback. Tough to tell from that video.
  6. Savagegeese Nissan Z Full Technical and Driving Review

Should of clarified, asking about the manual trans car not the auto.
  7. Savagegeese Nissan Z Full Technical and Driving Review

You'd need to do coilovers and adjustable endlinks to properly corner balance a car ;)
  8. Savagegeese Nissan Z Full Technical and Driving Review

@dezoris excellent review. Can you guys speak to the rev limiter at all by chance? Silly question I know. Jason Cammisa mentioned that once the car hits redline (@ 7K RPM) it will cut power until revs drop below 6K RPM. Was that your experience as well? If so that seems like a terrible design...
  9. Canadian pricing announced

That's too bad, I think they missed the mark. $12K premium over the Sport is a joke.
  10. U.S. Pricing Possibly Leaked in 2023 Nissan Z Review: $40K Base, $50K Performance, $53K Proto

Agreed. Low $50's CAD for a performance is my limit. Maybe $55 if the reviews are amazing.
  11. The Japanese Muscle Car Z vs an American, the Camaro SS 1LE

Not quite, roll stiffness can be controlled with springs, which absolutely would make the ride harsher but it can also be controlled with ARB's and bushings, which can improve roll stiffness without having too much of an adverse affect on harshness. Again though, definitely didn't expect the Z...
  12. The Japanese Muscle Car Z vs an American, the Camaro SS 1LE

Again I don't think this thing will be in the same wheel house as the Track Pony's, nor did I expect it to be, heck I'd be surprised if even the Nismo version could (if it ever comes out). I was at least somewhat hopeful that the Z Performance would be on par with a Supra but that's looking...
  13. The Japanese Muscle Car Z vs an American, the Camaro SS 1LE

It is possible to have more roll stiffness without making it to too harsh to drive on the street. Besides, this is meant to be the "Performance" trim, if folks want a softer ride they should be sticking with the "Sport" trim IMHO.
  14. The Japanese Muscle Car Z vs an American, the Camaro SS 1LE

There is no way the new Z will be even close to the SS 1LE/PP2/Mach 1 on a track, I don't think anyone expected it to be. The question for me is how much slower than the Supra will it be? The Supra is already 5+ seconds back from the Track Pony's at C&D Lightning Lap (granted it's a bit...
  15. Manual Supra Confirmed for 23?

I hear you on the N54 PTSD, I had a 335 with the N54 and it was a nightmare, the B58 is a much better and far more reliable engine. I've got a 340i now with the B58 (and my name on the list for a '23 Supra 🤣)
  16. Shift lights in action on Z digital instrument cluster in Sport Mode (video)

This guy knows what's up. Looks like it can only hit about 63-64MPH in second, I'd like to see closer 70MPH in second gear personally.
  17. The Smoking Tire (Matt Farah) Drives Nissan Z on track

Wow does it look like it's seriously lacking some roll stiffness. It's rolling around like a wet noodle with those tires while being driven at a fairly pedestrian pace.
  18. Passion Red Nissan Z vs Red 300ZX

Someone drove their 300ZX all the way from BC to see the car? :p
  19. Manual Supra Confirmed for 23?

Exactly. To me this seems like a rev matching feature similar to the Z.
