Light weight is one thing, but more likely improved fuel economy and safety stuff like lane keeping were the main drivers (those are the usual reasons anyway)

Do we know if the driver assistance (esp lane keeping) will need to be disengaged every time you get in the car? In my current car once I've turned off lane keeping it doesn't come back on until I tell it, which I prefer. Don't know how Nissans usually handle this.

Blue wasn't on my list at first but this looks fantastic in this color, really shows off the lines. And I've had nothing but white and silver cars, would be nice to have some color. The blue interior is maybe a little OTT, but hey this isn't a sleeper car! I would go for the bronze wheels too...

Will be my first Nissan. I've had a mix of Honda, VW, Audi and Fords over the years. Loved the 1990 300ZX when it came out, and I had two colleagues who owned them. My brother has campaigned a 280ZX in LeMons for many years, but I've never driven it as it's not street legal :)

Yeah it's either not been textured (last process of the mold making) or will get covered by a soft touch material. Given the large gaps and the traction control button is on an island that's standing proud of the surface I'm betting there's a whole other piece getting fit over it that's a few mm...

An old family friend had an original 240z that I loved at the time, it was metallic blue on the outside and I think had blue on the interior too, though I could be misremembering. So I like this throwback! Unrelated to the blue, am glad to see how the screen is well integrated in, not sticking...
