  1. Official: U.S. 2023 Nissan Z priced at $39,990 Sport, $49,990 Performance, $52,900 Proto Spec (Now Including Exterior/Interior Color Combos)

There's no way they could offer all of that for any less than $45k... Besides, that's all stuff that tuners will be changing anyway, besides the LSD. I think the whole point of the Sport is for the tuner... however, it seems most are unwilling to add an LSD aftermarket and are ruling out the...
  2. Official: U.S. 2023 Nissan Z priced at $39,990 Sport, $49,990 Performance, $52,900 Proto Spec (Now Including Exterior/Interior Color Combos)

So here's my suggestion... since we know Nissan is most likely monitoring this thread... What if for 2024, Nissan increased the price of the Sport to say $41,490 but it included the LSD... Would you all think that's worth the price? They also could bring the price of the Performance down...
  3. Savagegeese Nissan Z Full Technical and Driving Review

No... they didn't develop it completely new for the Z... but it is a much lower production engine that's only used in two other low production, more expensive vehicles and not based on an engine that is sold in hundreds of thousands of cars (the VQ). Never mind the tech upgrades made to the car...
  4. Official: U.S. 2023 Nissan Z priced at $39,990 Sport, $49,990 Performance, $52,900 Proto Spec (Now Including Exterior/Interior Color Combos)

I think you're looking for a direct comparison, but it's the market in general... We now live in a world where a top-of-the-line Rogue, along with its competitors can cross the $40k threshold, and a popularly equipped Altima is $32-34k with a 4-cyl/turbo-4... prices have been creeping up over...
  5. Official: U.S. 2023 Nissan Z priced at $39,990 Sport, $49,990 Performance, $52,900 Proto Spec (Now Including Exterior/Interior Color Combos)

Like I said in my first post, you can't really compare the price of the 2020 370Z to the new Z. That car was old and there wasn't much reason to buy it new over a used one for cheaper, so Nissan had to keep the price down which did make it a bargain. But trust me, if they had actually made...
  6. Official: U.S. 2023 Nissan Z priced at $39,990 Sport, $49,990 Performance, $52,900 Proto Spec (Now Including Exterior/Interior Color Combos)

I don't know why anyone is really shocked at the price. Did you all really think you were going to walk off the lot with a 400hp Twin Turbo RWD sports car in 2022 for $45k? The shocker here is the Sport starts under $40k. I was expecting it to start around $43k and surely figured the performance...
  7. Nissan Z Production Colors Simulation Renderings

This is pulling on the strings of my heart!!!!
  8. What Exhaust will it have, adaptive maybe

From the few clips of the car rolling into a trailer or around a parking lot, it definitely sounds quiet like the RS400s. Seems to be no underlying growl that you'd hear at even low revs with a good exhaust. They'll probably just offer the same sport exhausts they offer for the Qs as an option...
  9. Nissan Z Ads & Commercials

This video was actually first shown in Japan a few months ago. I think they just added an English voiceover and releasing it here in NA.
  10. 2022 Nissan Z Details: MSRP pricing, packages, power (hp), weight, transmission + more

Yea, the new ad is pretty good and FEELS good too. I remember when they were announcing their plans for the turnaround about a year and a half ago and they said they want to bring back "Nissan-ness"... in the moment I was like "what does that mean?" Now seeing this ad and the newer product I get...
  11. 2022 Nissan Z Details: MSRP pricing, packages, power (hp), weight, transmission + more

Good ole Carmaker1 coming through with ALL the details. Lol. Wish he posted more.
  12. 2022 Nissan Z Spied in Silver Again (@ Arizona)

I think the grille will be the same color across the board. Think the difference in color we are seeing is a difference in lighting. Similar to hypersilver wheels. The wheels I have on my G can almost look chrome in some lighting and gunmetal in other lighting.
  13. Official Nissan Z Nismo Discussion / News & Speculation via Bestcarweb Japan

Yea... there’s no way the GTR 3.8 will make it to the Z. Way too expensive and is hand built. Makes no financial or logistical sense.
  14. Z35 prototypes

Being that it’s mostly a reskinned 370Z, most likely test mules maybe running around in plain sight and we wouldn’t know it. I think the one in the pic above was intentionally modified to feed the buzz and unofficially make the statement that a new Z was coming... hence the big NISSAN badge...
  15. Next Nissan Z Will Have Blue Interior Option Like the Original 240Z

Interesting. I don’t think the lighting is doing it justice as well as the cheap preproduction dash top... but to see there will be some interesting color combos is exciting to know. I thought for sure it was going to between black and black. Lol. Wonder what other colors will be on offer. I’d...
  16. 2022 Nissan Z Details: MSRP pricing, packages, power (hp), weight, transmission + more

I was thinking that was the case. Side note: What is JATCO actually developing? In what ways are they innovating? Seem to be pretty stagnant... with the reputation of their CVTs and the future being more focused on EVs that don’t need transmissions. With Nissan going with the ZF 9-speed for the...
  17. 2022 Nissan Z Details: MSRP pricing, packages, power (hp), weight, transmission + more

If the base price is anything under $40k, Nissan needs to be considered the champ and king of the hill. With the base Supra 3.0 starting at $50k they really could start at $45k and it'll still be considered a bargain. And we all know... they need that money. Lol Interesting tidbit on the Q50/60...
  18. 2022 Nissan Z Details: MSRP pricing, packages, power (hp), weight, transmission + more

I don't think they have misstepped on the launch as much as you're alluding to... I mean they pretty much showed us the actual car minus regulatory reflectors at the end of last year. Nissan knows everyone knows what engine will be in this car. They don't really need to confirm what's already...
