  1. Oil Solenoid, and P06DA. Anyone have a pic?

So, I disconnected the oil control solenoid. Oil pressure is ALWAYS 55 PSI. (Awesome). However, if make a hard acceleration, I get a check engine light. OBDII code is P06DA . I can clear it, no problem. QUESTION: Does anyone have a pic looking IN TO the wire that you unplug from the...
  2. Oil Filter compilation

Lots of purse-swinging on this topic. But also, there is a LOT of contradictory info from industry folks with a LOT of experience with this engine. There are no good aftermarket oil filters with the Nissan “recommended” bypass pressure value. Please post in here with any updated info that can...
  3. Sound deadening on sale. $14 for 10 pieces

I lined my hatch with this still at $25 for a 10 pack, IIRC: http://amazon.com/dp/B07XMF2V77?ie=UTF8&_encoding=UTF8&tag=bensb405-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325&th=1
  4. 6MT exhaust mid-section. $100

Selling the mid-section from my 6MT stock exhaust. The 6MT has resonators. The 9AT doesn't. Would make a good candidate for someone wanting to do a muffler delete on a 9AT, that wants to have "some" sound/resonation baffling. Pipe is in Short Hills, NJ.
  5. Blackstone Labs report on oil change #2

I'm happy. They seem thorough. (Note: Mobil 1 extended perf, 5w30 is being used.)
  6. TORQ15DA DA polisher is on sale for $150

Worked great to remove a few swirls in my paint...
  7. MAJOR Rant: Nissan Black paint on the Z stinks

I'll do my best to not get a time-out, or get the thread locked with my pottymouth. I've had my 2024 Sport 6MT since April 2024. I love the thing. It has been babied, and garage-kept. I bought a 2004 Buick couch-on-wheels to drive in the winter. When I first got the Z, I clayed it, and...
  8. Ceramic coating high spot that is 4 months old

I fixed it! When I ceramiced the car, I used the Adam's Polishes 2 year advanced ceramic. (The kind that comes in the spray bottle.) I did the job under detailing lights. While washing the car yesterday in the morning sun, I found high spots on the roof. It was swirls that I blatantly forgot...
  9. +1 Hudson Tire Exchange in Hackensack

@Who.Am.Eye.2716 recommended the Continental DWS06s. Went with 245/45r18 up front, and 275/40r18 in the rear.on my Sport. I would NOT go wider than 275 on the stock sport rim. The tire will DEFINITELY find the curb first. (Plus, 9" was the smallest recommended rim width for a 275 on TR. Big...
  10. Realized it was a 30 year journey

I always lusted after the Z cars. The 300zx was THE ONE though. Graduated in 1993 from HS. Z sticker price might as well have been $250,000. So, went to college, partied my way out, joined the Navy. FINALLY got my Z, which ended up being a 2024. I was gathering all sorts of stuff from my...
  11. Tire opinion please; Tires sizes on a Sport

I have a Sport 6MT, but with a LSD. I am breaking the stock Yokohamas loose without really trying. I need better tires. I will probably keep the stock rims for a long time, but MIGHT run spacers and/or lowering springs. I want a staggered setup. Will these rub with OR WITHOUT spacers...
  12. Adding a spare.... With my LSD, what would happen?

I'm getting rids of the big chunk of foam, and adding a spare tire. There are plenty of wrecked cars with the 5x114.3mm lug spacing. I'll go to a bone yard and get the spare, jack, and lug wrench. I swapped my open diff for a factory LSD pumpkin. If the donut and the other rear tire are...
  13. Stock Sport tires with 9900 miles on them SOLVED with Conti DWS06 tires

Can I get some opinions here? I think my alignment might be off. (Yeah. the stock Yokohamas are made of freeze-dried oil slick.) Pic 1: Left FRONT tire. Pic 2: Left REAR tire.
  14. AT Muffler on the MT Y-pipe is AWESOME

I had the Stillen street exhaust. Sold it. (and that's all I've got to say about that.) I picked up the AT muffler and AT Y-Pipe from @TheMarkedOne a few weekends ago. PRO TIP: if you pick up a muffler and the Y-pipe with your Z, take a moving blanket to wrap the y-pipe. They DO fit in the...
  15. Stock Z Sport rear diff (Open) $600

The is for the STOCK rear diff out of my 2024 Sport 6MT. 4900 miles on it. No noise. Never hammered on. Why should you buy it? A spare. You could build it in to a track LSD and not mess with your factory one. Change the gear ratio for different tracks. If you DO have a shop add a LSD, and...

  19. Anyone have an automatic transmission, muffler, sitting around?

Like the title says, I’d like to swap out my manual transmission, muffler, for the AT one. The aftermarket exhaust I have on my car is not my thing. I’m not going to say anything about them right now, because they might be a site sponsor. Bought it from TheMarkedOne . OMG. Do the AT muffler...
  20. GT Japanese Automotive in Edison, NJ +1 in my book

So I have a new exhaust system for my 2024 Sport. So, I stopped in GT Japanese Automotive. https://www.gtjapanese.com/ One of their mechanics, Ming, went for a drive with me. He was 98% sure of the issue. He put the Z on the rack, found an offending exhaust leak, and tightened things up...
