They work together, we work together.
Two weeks ago they tired to sell me, and I assume everyone else that expressed interest, a 85k proto. This week they dropped it to 75k. We are getting closer, hold the line and don't bite.
You win respect points for memory, but that is a spotted in the wild type of image. I still contend that Nissan is not using the racing stipe in the official press images. Usually press images are taken with all the extras, but not in this case. Someone in marketing is not a fan of racing stripes.
I have no idea who these fellas in the video are and the whole time I am watching I can tell they do not represent me. Which is fine to each their own, but I have zero interest in taking the car to a track. I do not even know where to find a race track. I just want a weekend car thats fun to...
It's not a good look and Nissan knows it. These stripes are not featured in any of the promo shots, demo cars, or marketing material and my hunch is because it falls flat.
Maybe it could work on the solid color paint like the rosewood but on the two tone black roof the added stripes make it too...
I am in the same frame of mind these days. I am not considering the Supra but the Lexus and Porsche are possibilities. At one point the Z was the clear winner but with the price now at 90k ~ish it makes it hard to justify.
I am back to a wait and see game to see if the prices balance out once...
The whole marketing campaign for this car is structured around "classic styling 400hp for under 40k"
While we all understand that is the fantasy land of marketing and knew it would be more I just was not expecting double.
They are calling everyone who has expressed interest and starting with crazy high priceing. I fully expect to get another call in a week when they drop the price a little.
But it is kinda strange going into these sales calls where I know so much more about the car than the sales team.
Just got the call. They have 1 of the 12 protos designated for my area coming in 2 weeks. I tried to just do the transaction over the phone but they want me to swing by later today to meet with the salesman. Sounds like I am getting a sales pitch, does anyone have some intel I could arm myself...
You are not going to drive that car at all. They will be fully automated driverless vehicles. I really have a bit of nostalgia leading me to this car. Manual transmission, manual e-break, and gasoline are getting hard to find.
I was doing my monthly "will I ever get this car" check in at the dealership, and they stressed to me that it's kind of a crap shoot what trim/colors they get allocated. While I understand and am cool will having to perhaps compromise on color I am in no way interested in the automatic...
Is the demand really that high here that they can max overcharge us? Everytime I pop into the Nissan lot to check in on the Z, the majority of the staff know nothing about it. 95% of the customers walking in are looking for a Pathfinder or an Altima.
Sometimes I feel like I am the only...
Nothing is set until it is in my driveway. I have been told the car is coming and I am at the top of the list but I would not be shocked if it gets sold out from under me.
