The bottom line for me is that I want a Z because it’s a Z. The performance of other cars and any of their other distinguishing characteristics have zero impact on my buying decision.
I think the Z has a chance if they consider its emotional impact on the broader population (does anyone hate a Z?)and how it represents accessible sports car fun for the people.
Based on the responses, it appears that seeing the Z in person has had a positive impact on most of us and our perceptions of the car. It would be great to see all of the different color options in real life to help with that all important decision!
I’d like to see the performance figures and experience the driving dynamics at least once before I buy. I’m sold on the looks after seeing it, but looks only go so far…
The Nissan representative working the Z display basically said US Nissan dealers were not going to be keen on letting people test drive the Z. I wonder if that’s true?
