If you don't know about AMS Performance, they are highly reputable in the aftermarket car industry. They sell Stage 1 and Stage 2 setups as well as other mods for the Q50/Q60 VR30 platform as well as the GTR. They definitely know a lot when it comes to the platform, seeing as they hold the 1/4...
I've been trying to think.. what would even come with the touring package (if there is one)? On the current Z we got the navigation unit, power and heated leather seats, upgraded stereo system, voice command, satellite antenna, backup camera... am I missing anything else substantial?
With the...
Since we've had months for the new design of the new Z to sit in our minds, I'm curious what everyone's opinion is of it now. I won't lie, personally when they first revealed it, I hated most of it. I thought the rear looked weird, I HATED the front, and I didn't like the yellow color. The only...
I have a friend that just picked up a Q60 Red Sport and while I think they look nice and are pretty fast with just bolts on and a tune; I'd still rather get the new Z. Why?
1. New Z with same engine, lighter weight = faster in stock form
2. I think the new Z will have more road presence and...
The new Z will cost significantly less than even a bare bones C8. If anyone can afford a C8 and took a new Z over it they must be crazy. The C8 is better in every way possible.
Wait a year or two after it comes out... trade in my 370Z for a stock, low mileage, certified pre-owned new Z that is my ideal spec. It'll probably be $10k under MSRP at the point.
I don't think the side profile of the current car is bad, in fact I do like it, but this is definitely much better. Having the black "invisible" roof line on the original Proto doesn't appeal to me personally. Body colored roof line and keeping the A+B pillars black looks a lot nicer. The silver...
Probably because Nissan has been taking unreasonably long to show us the car. Imagine they made us wait all this time and deliver a car that is below par compared to its competitors.
A GT4 is better in every way and also AT LEAST $50k more than the new Z will likely be. Definitely not competition at all as it's in a whole other league. If you can afford a GT4, the new Z shouldn't even cross your mind because it won't come close.
370Zs with the touring package come with Bose audio so it's most likely the same exact audio system. I have it in my Z; it's not great, but it's good enough.
Exactly. And not only just a straight "bar" itself, but I'm sure we will see different designs that will altar the rectangle shape. I would love see some sort of "fang" design like with the 2009-2012 370Z grille.

It is indeed just vinyl overlaid on top of the grille. No change to the grille. However, I'm sure within a month of release we will see at least 1 aftermarket bar that you can "bolt on" right across where that vinyl line is.
6 piston Brembos for a 400HP car? That's pretty overkill. The Nismo I could see having 6 piston but not the regular Z or "sport" model. Even the Q60 Red Sport has 4 pistons.
It absolutely will not have carbon ceramic brakes lol. Putting brakes that cost 1/4 of the car would be a horrible idea. And the leaked production cars already confirmed it'll be getting the same 4 piston Akebonos that the current 370Z uses.
