Where on earth did you test drive the new Z? I tend to agree that at ~$70k CAD OTD in Ontario vs. a GR86 at ~$40k OTD the added value isn't there. If I was seeking a plush GT for long highway trips I'd be more inclined to eat the cost difference, but as a sportscar...

The plate numbers were different on the SP and TH review cars, they were not the same vehicle.

Nissan is going all-in on TV ads featuring the Z here, trying to transfer its fizzle over to those oh-so-exciting CUVs it wants to push.

You guys may pay more for your cars, but at least you get great care packages like this, North America is nowhere close.

Just wish the thing wasn't so huge these days, I test drove an SI a year ago and it was like driving a full size Japanese sedan from the aughts like my father's Maxima.

Actually given his incredibly scrawny attempt at a "beard" (why do these people even bother, they look so much better without them) I'd say the lack of eyebrow hair is probably au naturel.

I'm with takemorepills on the general irrelevance of track metrics, it's the subjective experiential aspects of the drive that are important for most of us, not the numbers. That said, it's important for reviewers to drive the Z on track as well as street, as doing so will more quickly and fully...
