I regret not getting PPF. Paint seems thin, and the front bumper plastic is soft. Good excuse to get a wrap eventually.
Also went through the summer without tint. That back window really lets in a lot of heat. Got it put in this winter and it still feels luxurious. Even got clear ceramic on the...
Well, I'll say I'm over 15k miles now on my 2024 Z, with no drivetrain issues. Stock tires were bald at 10k, and there's a recall out for a sensor harness. Other than a catback, I'm holding off on mods (sport trim). Maybe when suspension bits wear out I'll feel like putting in upgrades.
Welcome...
No, cat-back means you're only changing the tubes after the catalytic converter. On the Z, both upper and lower down pipes have cats, but nothing afterwards. The only meaningful effect is a change in noise.
Oh, yes that was my experience with the HKS pipes. AWE Touring has resonated midpipes and overall quite tame.
This is still a Nissan product, afterall. The interior dash has some rattles even just cruising.
I'm not sure what you mean by feel and... shaky? There's no deep bass vibrations if that's what's meant. The Z has an RPM idle spot where a resonance in the cabin happens, which I noticed more with stock pipes than AWE. On my car this rpm range is rare to hit, like, only in summer with A/C on...
1 - Yes, 3" pipes, everything else stock, which causes some minor scraping on huge highway bumps. Another user had his shop weld on some sacrificial pads.
I had a local motor sport shop (nissan specialist) put on HKS pipes initially because they had it in stock from an unfortunate situation...
So it does rev a bit when it's cold outside. Took a year off the engine light just for you. 😅 Driving clip is from the cup holder so sound isn't amazing but you can still make some of it out.
