  1. Any Supra owners dumping their cars for the 2023 Nissan Z?

Just like every other sports car. So you’re surmising that because there are used Supras for sale that people aren’t satisfied? Generally early buyers of sports cars don’t own them long as they’re always searching for the next best thing. This is why they typically depreciate quickly in addition...
  2. Uh, oh...new MR2 on the horizon

Eh not really interested in plug in hybrid. If you’re gonna go EV, go EV. This is just a place holder while Toyota figures out full EV.
  3. 2023 Nissan Z Brochure Catalog First Look!

Eh braking performance is more important than go fast performance. But to each their own.
  4. Dealers Already Plan on Marking Up Nissan Z Prices, Like This +$45K Markup For Z Proto Spec Edition

Indeed. Unfortunately this is the case. Tesla is getting around it. I love their ordering process.
  5. Next-generation Subaru BRZ

Yes yes it is. And Nissan has been irrelevant for the past 10 years…
  6. Dealers Already Plan on Marking Up Nissan Z Prices, Like This +$45K Markup For Z Proto Spec Edition

Which is a different scenario. Dealers can get away with that kind of stuff today, but who knows in the future. With social media they need to be careful to not tarnish their reputation. When supply catches up, that dealer may not have any more customers. The dealership model today is antiquated...
  7. Dealers Already Plan on Marking Up Nissan Z Prices, Like This +$45K Markup For Z Proto Spec Edition

If it’s price fixing then every dealer would have the exact same ADM on every vehicle… The dealership is making a business decision to charge ADM. It could hurt or help them. In the long term that’s for them to decide.
  8. Dealers Already Plan on Marking Up Nissan Z Prices, Like This +$45K Markup For Z Proto Spec Edition

How is an ADM unethical? Genuinely curious. You live in a capitalistic country. I have no affiliation with any dealership or in the biz whatsoever. I don’t like dealerships as much as the next person, but quite frankly, if someone is “duped” that’s on them. My gripe comes more with the buying...
  9. Dealers Already Plan on Marking Up Nissan Z Prices, Like This +$45K Markup For Z Proto Spec Edition

I have no problem with ADMs. It’s a free market. Right now dealers have all the cards. It’s not shady business practice in my opinion. All the information is in plain sight. MSRP is on the manufacturers website. They will sell at ADM as long as there are willing buyers. What goes up must come...
  10. The longer the wait...

What current EV would you consider a "Sports" car? I can't think of any. Yes, many examples very fast in a straight line, but I don't see any compelling options that will be fun on the track (the kind with corners). Today EV's are still too heavy.
  11. A Legend Returns: New Acura Integra Coming for a New Generation

And here I was thinking I set the bar low, but Honda succeeded in going lower! Wtf am I looking at?!
  12. Production will begin in September 2021 / SOP is 9/2021

Yes, we have lemon laws, but they vary by state. They’re challenging to win and a manufacturer will fight you tooth and nail. In most cases it’s easier to just cut your losses and sell the POS. I get your point about warranty, but I just don’t like the inconvenience of going to a dealership...
  13. Production will begin in September 2021 / SOP is 9/2021

Thanks for posting! Think I’ll sit this one out for a year. I love tech and progress, but I’ll let others be the testers.
  14. A Legend Returns: New Acura Integra Coming for a New Generation

Not looking good... Honda is just sucking it up. What a lame duck. I guess if I need a manual sedan I gotta go Blackwing!

  19. FD RX7 vs Z: There can only be one.

C8 can be had at MSRP in any config you want. It’s just that people are impatient, nothing else. Problem with the Z will be you can’t order it. Markups for a long time. For the type of racing you do why not get a used ND2 in a couple years when the market stabilizes? Should be no problem to...
  20. FD RX7 vs Z: There can only be one.

Your FD looks like sh!t. I'll take it off your hands for free. Save you the trouble. Well one vehicle isn't out yet and will be manufactured for a few years. The other no longer exists, is an icon, and reducing in numbers as we speak. Seems like an easy decision to me!
