I joined this forum to learn from the members here. I also wanted to let members know the things that I did to my Z. Unfortunately there are members here that are mean spirited, and as such I am leaving! Too bad as there are some nice people here. Goodbye!
lol Iām able to keep up with most cars out there! Even Hell Cats. easy to install, and adds on an additional 100 hp. I donāt have to worry about taking it in to a shop to have the ecu flashed. Iām not taking my car to the track, so no need to worry about having perfect tunes! I just mentioned it...
I installed the JB4 Tuner myself. Easy install. The tuner fits inside the driver side pocket where the master brake is. You just unplug 2 connectors from the engine, and attach them to the tuner harness. Then attach the harnessās from the tuner back on the engine. You then route the other...
Understand! I personally just wanted a Tuner that adapts to changes in engine configuration's on the fly. Iām currently using stage 3. I also like the fact that I can remove it without permanently altering the Zās ecu. š
The reason I went the JB4 route was because it piggybacks the stock ECU. It has its own microprocessor, which in turns updates on the fly. You can also remove it with no lasting effects. I got a 100 hp power boost! Best thing I ever did. š
I love my JB4 tuner from BurgerTuning. It also adapts to changes made to your engine, and corresponding components. But there are others that will disagree lol
If youāre going Z1. May I recommend all the stiffening brackets they carry. Also the Z1 shifter. What a difference a shift knob makes. Also I used the AWE exhaust system. I opted for the track edition as you get a much better sound than the touring. The mufflers on it are good, but no mufflers...
Thatās always been a big worry of mine. I couldnāt imagine having major damage on my Z. I am wishing you much luck with either getting it fixed like new, or getting a replacement at a reasonable price! So sorry to hear about your car!
You want the smallest sidewall you can get. The less sidewall, the less your flex will be. Meaning more power to the pavement, and tighter turns. I would recommend Michelin Pilot Sās. They are the best tire for your car. Get the summer series, as they are more gummy/sticky. š
The car is very low to the ground as it is. If youāre using it primarily for street use, I recommend not lowering it further. The Sway bars that come from Z1 come with nylon bushings. If you do get them, I recommend using the proper adhesive to secure them in place. If you donāt, they have...
