  1. How hard will it be to get a Z?

Hopefully not bad by the time I'm ready to buy. I'm planning to get one for myself for my 40th birthday, so I have a little over 2 years to go. Maybe the Nismo will be out by then too.
  2. Nissan Z roadster coming? What about a T-Top, Targa Top, or Shooting Brake?

The only surprising thing to me is the number of people that don't seem at all interested in T-tops. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. T-tops and window louvers would make this so much more retro.
  3. A disappointment dressed in a manual gearbox and V6 disguise

I hate to say it, but that's pretty much par for the course with internet journalists these days. Hell, real journalists aren't much better a lot of the time.
  4. 2023 nISSAN z pOST rEVEAL lIKES & dISLIKES tHREAD

Premium likely means that it's a cost added option. An extra $500 or something to get the colors that include the black roof.
  5. NISMO Z Configuration Poll - What Specs Would You Like to See?

You may be right, but the official release from Nissan says 400hp/350tq.
  6. Hands-On Impressions, Analysis & Reactions from the web about the 2023 Nissan Z

I have to agree with her take that this is a much more timeless design than the Supra. This will still be a good looking car in 20 years, where the Supra isn't even a good looking car now, depending on who you ask.
  7. 2023 nISSAN z pOST rEVEAL lIKES & dISLIKES tHREAD

I'm of two minds about that one. It would be nice if the base car had at least an optional LSD, and I would have prefered a Torsen to a clutch type.
  8. Please add ventilated seats to the performance package ….

I absolutely would like ventilated far more than heated, but if they add a targa, or even better *fingers crossed* T-Tops, I would probably like the heated seats for cooler nights with the top off. Ventilated is definitely my priority though.
  9. Nissan Z demographics

I feel this so hard. Between that and a bit of imposter syndrome I always feel like I don't have the knowledge or the life skills I should for someone my age. And I feel like that's only going to get worse as I get older until I either die or just don't care anymore.
  10. New Nissan Z Will Be a 'Dance Partner,' Says Chief Engineer

It's ok to be pedantic, but not to be pedantic while also being wrong. All engines are motors, but not all motors are engines. Internal combustion engines are motors by definition.
  11. Are you getting manual or automatic?

I've driven a couple slushboxes with paddle shifters and they still weren't fun to me. Now, if it were a dual clutch automatic, that makes a world of difference. Torque converters kind of take away some of the fun from what I can tell.
  12. Are you getting manual or automatic?

I loved cruise on my last 6 speed Wrangler. The pentastar had enough power to handle it with the wheels and tires I was running. My TJ with the 4.0L and the 6 speed was garbage when it came to cruise control. Even with 31" tires it would bog down in 6th gear on even the slightest hill and I...
  13. Which Nissan Z Generation Is Your Favorite?

The S30 and Z32 are kind of tied for my favorites, and since the new Z is a modern blend of those two I think I like it the best of all.
  14. What changes were made to VR30?

They almost certainly didn't change the block. It's very likely down to pistons and heads if there even is a displacement change.
  15. What changes were made to VR30?

I'm not sure if the Q60 version is rated for e85 from the factory, but apparently from what I've seen the Z is. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the change if it doesn't require different heads and maybe even pistons.
  16. Nissan Z Meme Thread

This has to be the lowest resolution spiderman meme I've ever seen. 😂
  17. Q&A with Nissan US Product Comms & Executive Guests - Submit your questions for post-reveal discussion!

I could see that I guess, but I really hope it's an actual launch control, hopefully with adjustable launch rpm. Corvette has had that for a decade. I would like to think Nissan could do it too, especially in a performance car. And the fact that it only seems to come on the Performance model...
  18. Q&A with Nissan US Product Comms & Executive Guests - Submit your questions for post-reveal discussion!

Dan, can you touch on this in a little more detail? I feel like most people haven't noticed this and are only talking about the launch control system in the automatic transmission models.
  19. The new Z: what's missing?

I have no interest in changing your mind, I'm just saying that your hard line stance against others having an option that you personally don't want doesn't affect you, so I don't understand why you keep voicing your opinion in every thread that mentions vented seats.
