  1. Anyone seen these hood risers & know how to get them down. Spun the Z on wet roads and caught back wheel on curb. These popped the hood open - can’t open or close hood

Insurance might cover this. Some older GM cars use to blow airbags when coming out of driveways/parking lots and bottoming out on the street. I've seen insurance cover it.
  2. Anyone seen these hood risers & know how to get them down. Spun the Z on wet roads and caught back wheel on curb. These popped the hood open - can’t open or close hood

Your wallet is going to hurt. Looks like the actuators are $1204.78 each. Hopefully that's all it is. Only thing that's concerning are the yellow cables. Yellow is part of the restraint system. A lot of times, if an airbag blows, other parts need to be changed. I would not be surprised if...
  3. Couple questions about no lift shift

So should everyone else with any car. Especially a car that no one else has. Is it me or people rather make threads asking questions and wait instead of looking it up themselves?
  4. Carbon bits and pieces being released by RSW Japan - first looks

Not a fan of adding stick on bits and pieces to the interior. Its like a more expensive interior vinyl kit and looks tacky. As for the exterior pieces, take a few steps away and it'll just look like another black trim. These are glorified stickers and not mods. Save the money for mods.
  5. 25mm Spacer fitment (before & after comparison photo)

At stock height and geometry, it's fine.
  6. STOCK 2023 Nissan Z Goes Drag Racing! *IMPRESSIVE RESULTS*

Most importantly, which would you rather see in your garage? An egg shaped appliance or a car?
  7. When do you upshift (6MT)?

My bad, I thought you were someone else who has the new Z. Your user name looked familiar... Oh yea. Something with fuel doors...
  8. When do you upshift (6MT)?

Your first manual? Just go drive and enjoy it. You will learn a lot more by exploring things yourself. Even if the car has been out a while, why wait for someone to answer. Just go check it out. Get a feel for yourself and get use to the sounds. It's safer that way than to stare at the cluster...
  9. Break-in period

Does it say anything the manual? You are one of the few with that has the new Z. You are going to have to do your own research. Can't rely on others cause no one has it.
  10. Nismo Z test mules spotted in AZ

The gtr fenders do not belong on the Z. It kills the smooth lines.
  11. Z quality likely to inherit some previous issues....

I would like to think I know. We cleared out quite a few clogged drains causing these major source for passenger side water leaks.
  12. Z quality likely to inherit some previous issues....

Sounds like it was just a clogged drain. Happens often especially if leaves and debris are not cleaned out regularly. Sunroof drain clog is another common cause. Most cars has the hvac located in the same spot. Not just Nissan specific. That foam tape on the cowl grille is not meant to seal...
  13. Stop Sale on the Z -- for Paint and Headlamps (as of Jan 18)

It doesn't appear to be jammed in there. Simply placed there after adjustments. Between the bumper mount brackets and the headlamp mount screws, Nissan can find a few millimeters to adjust the spacing. I've been in the repair industry for a long time. Those are the areas I would check first...
  14. Stop Sale on the Z -- for Paint and Headlamps (as of Jan 18)

Gotcha. Nissan does have some parts available in color but are accessory items like mudguards, spoilers, body side moldings, etc. They did sell 350Z fuel doors prepainted. Mirrors and door handles can be purchased in color from some car manufacturers as well. Main body parts would not come in...
  15. Stop Sale on the Z -- for Paint and Headlamps (as of Jan 18)

I vaguely recall Infiniti having a G35 sport bumper available in color. Never got a Q60 bumper delivered from Infiniti in color.
  16. Stop Sale on the Z -- for Paint and Headlamps (as of Jan 18)

There isn't anything mentioned about a problem with the bumper. Seems like the fix is adjusting the spacing. Again, new bumpers do not come painted. No need to change a bumper for paint damage.
  17. Paint issues with the new Z

Bumpers do not even match from factory on any car. Some manufacturers are able to come close but no one is 100%
  18. Stop Sale on the Z -- for Paint and Headlamps (as of Jan 18)

How else do you expect them to fix it? Unless it's a Volvo, bumpers are not sold in color.
