For anyone NOT cancelling their orders, I finally got a chance to record my valved axle back exhaust tonight.
Removing secondary cats tomorrow.
Sorry too, not trying to push insta, just don't know how else to get decent quality video up.
I'm sure there are a few- MCA commented that the 370z catalog they had was a direct fitment for the '23 Z.
I just really like MCA's product. They even had the Golds available, but I won't be tracking it enough to justify.
Oh, I also recommend Stanceparts Air Cups- with a 1" drop I was scraping...
First modification I did to my new Z was suspension - I put MCA Reds in it, and it is now a completely different animal.
Still plenty easy to floor it and have some fun, but it is far more compliant when you want it to be.
Haven't heard of RAC, but suspect they might be the same as NRMA/RACQ's of other states?
I tried a quote with them pretty early on, but it was about $180/mo. I thought Rollin was a mistake at first, but have quoted annomously a couple of times since and it is always the same. I'd bet it's just a...
Folks, I got the car back today with the RBE exhaust.
Ho-ly-shit it sounds good.
I hate ricers with massive canons that sound like dry farts and drone at 70kph+.
Zero drone so far and the tone is just mint.
Quiet as stock with the valve closed and loud enough to draw attention when it's full...
I'm paying $54/Mo with Rollin', but am about to change to Shannon's at $102/Mo. Rollin' won't cover me with the mods.
I will strongly advise anyone/everyone against Youi after a truely shit experience with them. If anyone wants deets just let me know, but seriously just avoid them like the...
I'll just inject myself here...
I haven't noticed what you are talking about. Closest I have come to that phenomenon is on downshift with rev matching on. It's my first manual with rev matching and it was a bit disconcerting at first, but now freaking love it!
If it is definitely on upshifting...
I call it a Zee, Zed or 400Z interchangeably. Really don't see that it matters...
Australians have a habit of nicknaming things though. Don't think Nissan ever called the GTR a Godzilla but it's still pretty commonly referred to it as that here...
Didn't get the valve on today, but had a play with a couple of different cans. This one (I'll get details) was the biggest, had an internal anti-drone chamber and was nice and quiet.
The idea is that if I can find the right tone but keep it really quiet, the valve will give me all the volume...
Busy couple of days...
Front/Rear sway bars fitted out at Whiteline (Fulcrum). Turn in even more precise now - I have done a bit of testing on the softest dampening settings (closest I can get to stock) and it's much better. Will slowly retune it to a harder dampening to hit sweet spot for it...
Of course!
I'm pretty torn on the design (still).
Have a plan for 2 into 1 with two tips (ie a Y join under body).
Since arriving at the design though, all the aftermarket ones are coming out as 2 into 1 into 2 (ie same as factory X join), and a couple sound ok...
Rob Bliss are going to spend...
The power limiting is VERY aggressive, even with TCS off.I MHO it is borderline dangerous on spirited drives, especially with stock front end and rubber.
Certainly not an issue for daily driving, but I wish there was a way to temporarily disable it (or if the traction on/off button actually did...
