That's true but still would be very pissed off considering it's a brand new car.It would definitely ruin the new car buying experience.Mind you the excitement of getting this car wore off a long time ago.
The paint rubbing off is not the paint but becomes a paint problem when the fix is repainting the front bumper.Very seldom will the paint match the factory paint
Maybe, but I remember back in early summer my dealer told me Nissan was having issues with the paint on the Z so it wouldn't suprise me just like the paint rubbing off around the headlights that people are reporting. I am getting really close to cancelling my pre order and waiting till the next...
If my pre order came in with a build date of
If my pre order came in with a build date of Mar/Apr 2022 I would not take it, I think there is going to be other issues with these build dates
I doubt Nissan would do the right thing, they will probably repaint the bumper which in itself is terrible for a new car and then apply that foam strip in itself a temporary fix at best. This is a design flaw it's that simple.
Only a fool would pay over MSRP for a new car.In one year that car depreciates 20% and then add the mark up on top of that and you have a depreciation of anywhere from 40to 50% based on alot of the mark ups.Add to that any possbilty of having an accident and totalling the car, scary to think...
Because these were the first batch of cars built and held for almost a year before being released,I suspect more issues will show up on these build dates.Going foward with pre order fills hopefully starting soon, these issues should be rectified.
If I were you I would check your car personally to see if that same bumper fender flaw around the headlight is there, because there is no fix for that unless they replace the whole front end,The flaw is in the plastic around the headlight. At this point I don't think I would trust anything...
I bet the cars that have build dates from last March/April are the ones most likely to have these issues. If my pre order shows up with these build dates I will not take the car, don't like the idea of a new car sitting for almost a year before delivery.
My pre order was done through the dealer, there was a one week period for pre orders I think it was JAN 26 to FEB 1,2022 you had to put a 1k deposit down at the time of the pre order I had nothing to do with Nissan Canada. The form I signed says pre order reservation.
