The exhaust on the 400 hp red sport is way to quiet. Any chance of the Z coming with an adaptive exhaust? Catless downpipes would be great but probably void the warranty...

Who cares about warranty. A stealerships going to bend you over one way or another, might as well enjoy the damn thing.

If the car is going to come in at 35k to start, I don't think we will see an active exhaust. Probably saving that for the NISMO.

The exhaust is going to be pretty much exactly the same as the current 370z. Underside pictures/videos of the proto were taken and it looks exactly the same. Wouldn't be surprised if current aftermarket 370z exhausts bolt right onto the new Z.

From the few clips of the car rolling into a trailer or around a parking lot, it definitely sounds quiet like the RS400s. Seems to be no underlying growl that you'd hear at even low revs with a good exhaust. They'll probably just offer the same sport exhausts they offer for the Qs as an option. Kinda lame. But I doubt an adaptive option would be available.

Except that the new Z will have the VR30 powerplant, not the VQ37. Maybe similar catback dimensions, but certainly not the downpipes.

The question we should be asking is, what brand exhaust system will be be running the moment after we roll out of the dealer's lot?

Make it adaptive with an “exhaust cut out valve” lol

That would be nice, but the V6’s tend to be quiet compared to a straight six...

That exhaust looks really nice, probably will sound quite right.

The diff, hmm....lots of fins, either they are adding better heat dissipation, or, could it be...an e-diff?
